Dental Crowns

Hi, it’s Taylah again back with additional dental information!

Today I’m going to share a bit about dental crowns. A crown is a term that is used to refer to an artificial covering to restore or conserve a damaged tooth. Crowns can be made from a range of different metals for example: gold and stainless steel or they can also be made from porcelain. Dentists may recommend crowns as a solution to many dental problems such as discoloration of teeth, to protect the structural integrity of a tooth that has undergone a root canal or large filling, or even if a tooth is missing crowns along with dental implants can be a suitable method of regaining full chewing ability. A dental crown procedure generally takes three separate visits.
